This is an amazing opportunity to get in at the ground floor and grow with an expanding company.THE POSITION: Strategy and Operations ManagerThe Shade Store continues to experience rapid growth executing on a multi-faceted approach; increasing our number of showrooms, increasing web traffic to our site, and expanding our measure and install business for a growing number of customers every day. At the core of the growth, our teams work side-by-side with customers to design, build, and install window treatments that exceed expectations of form and function. A deep understanding of the customer experience and company operations throughout the process is required to scale the business while maintaining high standards of customer service.Based out of Midtown New York City or Portchester, NY and reporting directly to the VP of Strategy & Analytics, the Strategy and Operations Manager brings analytical rigor and project execution to the process of rapidly scaling the company. This leader will translate The Shade Store’s operations and customer journey into an actionable set of insights that drive executive level understanding of performance and influences key decisions. As a trusted operator, this individual will work directly with executive leadership including the CEO, COO, and S/VPs to solve critical challenges and to create sustainable change.WHO YOU ARE* You have recent and relevant experience at a Top Tier management consulting firm.* You enjoy leading strategic projects and process improvements, with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration, innovation, and efficiencies* You have a proven track record of delivering results, are action-oriented, and thrive in ambiguous environments* You love the promise of data and are creative in using analytics to make business decisions* You are a problem solver that can work across all levels the organization to create change through building relationships and strong influence abilities* You enjoy being a team player and have a strong set of core values, undeniable integrity and strong listening skills* You are inspired by our mission to provide quality products and a world-class, white-glove customer experienceWHAT YOU’LL DO* Conduct complex analytics, derive actionable insights, develop improvement plans, and lead strategic initiatives to help realize our growth strategy* Collaborate with business stakeholders to integrate analytics into strategic dashboards and program-based reports* Develop quantitative analysis and models to support operational decisions, including new initiatives, process optimization, automation and enhancement* Engage with business leaders to effectively identify the root cause of issues and provide optimal solutions* Partner cross-functionally to execute on strategic initiatives, creating the change identified in analyticsWHAT YOU’LL HAVE* 1 – 5 years of experience at a Top Tier management consulting firm* Experience in service operations and logistics is a plus* Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent* MBA preferred* A highly analytical mind with a proven ability to conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative analysis* The ability to simplify large and complex data sets into easily digestible visualizations* The ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver on initiatives* A passion for solving complex problems, moving fast, and continuously improving* A proactive nature with the ability to work with little supervision while managing competing priorities; adaptability in a fast paced, changing environment* Extremely proficient with Excel and similar tools – Pivot Tables and Advanced Functions* Proficiency with tools such as Tableau or similar visualization tools* Ability to work in the U.S without sponsorshipWHY WORK AT THE SHADE STORE®We set out to create a company culture that is enjoyable, rewarding, and where there is continuous upward mobility and growth opportunity.
