Requisition ID: 95729Join the Global Community of Scotiabankers to help customers become better off.In this role, you will contribute to the overall success of U.S. Credit Risk, as a senior member of the U.S. Credit Reporting & Governance team. Your main responsibilities will include managing the governance of U.S. Credit Risk’s policies and procedures, coordinating and acting as the main point of contact for Enterprise Risk Management initiatives, coordinating responses to regulatory and internal information requests, and managing and contributing to other projects as assigned, on behalf of the U.S. Credit Risk Management team. You will ensure all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.Is this role right for you? You will be responsible for:Serving as the point of contact, and U.S. Credit expert for Enterprise Risk Management programs and initiatives including but not limited to: annual risk appetite setting, annual compliance risk and controls assessment, credit risk policies and procedures, compliance regulatory controls attestation, credit risk governance, supporting risk analytics initiatives for credit risk (including stress testing), and maintenance of credit risk models and model documentsServing as Secretary of the U.S. Credit team. Manages the agenda scheduling, preparation and presentation of materials for governance related items on U.S. Credit CommitteeCalculating, reporting, and maintaining associated documentation of the quarterly SBUS General Allowance and SCUSA CECL, including maintenance of the allowance modelsServing as point of contact for regulator exams, audits, and validations; coordinating information and documenting collection for examiners and auditors, and coordinating responses to queries from examiners and auditors. Coordinating and documenting audit and regulatory remediationsLeading other ad hoc projects for U.S. Credit Risk Management, as required; serving as delegate for senior management on various cross-discipline projects internallyTraining and supervising junior team members as required to assist in any of these AccountabilitiesUnderstanding how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisionsActively pursuing effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct riskChampioning a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environmentChampioning a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledgeDo you have the skills you need to succeed?
