Come as you are and we’ll welcome you to the Hive.Click here to see what it’s like to work inside the Bombas Hive!About the Job:We are looking for a passionate, agile and highly motivated thought leader to join our Data & Analytics team as Data Operations Manager, reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Analytics Engineering. The ideal candidate has a minimum 3 years of experience in building robust data governance programs to democratize data across large organizations. You will be building and scaling our data governance processes and also playing a pivotal role in implementing our new e-commerce site tracking tool. This new team member will have high visibility across the organization and will be working with stakeholders across product, engineering, legal, operations, and more.What You’ll Be Responsible For:* Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics to successfully overhaul and implement site tracking* Maintain integrity of events tracked on site, and work closely with analytics and engineering to implement new events* Work closely with internal legal team and external privacy counsel to operationalize processes around data deletion and anonymization* Establish and maintain processes around metadata management and data discovery; including creating a data dictionary, ERDs, and data audits* Create and maintain processes around data quality and taxonomy throughout the organization* Maintain internal permissions across tools like Looker, GCP, Simon Data, etc.What we’ll love about you:* You have experience in data governance, program management, or as a TPM within a data organization* Experience working with frontend engineering teams to implement robust event tracking across web platforms* Experience building and maintaining MDM programs, including data dictionary and ERDs* Strong process management with proven ability to optimize and scale processes with the business* A strong understanding of data lineage, data warehousing, and data platforms – knowledge of SQL and BI tooling (Looker) a plus!* Strong written and verbal communication skills* Belief in our mission and understand the importance of giving-back* Inquisitive, love to learn, embrace failure, and never give upWhat you’ll love about us:* We are a team of smart, interesting, diverse, funny, and loving people.* We offer competitive compensation, employer paid health, medical and dental benefits, 401k with match, paid parental leave, snacks, socks and a fun, relaxed office environment.* We take the responsibility to make sure you are excited, happy, and find fulfillment in your work very seriously.* We value fun.
