Sales Expediter & Data Entry Operator

This is a Contract position in Springs, NY posted May 9, 2021.

We are looking for a Sales Expediter & Data Entry Operator to support Company operations by reviewing, updating, and maintaining information in our company databases and computer systems and taking actions as required.

This position is eligible for Telecommuting or Remote Work. Training requires 2-3 weeks of in-person days.
This position is Part Time- however scheduled hours are flexible during Capitol’s normal operating hours.

Sales Expediter responsibilities include assisting the sales team to complete the order cycle utilizing various queues to ensure proper communication with customers and internal procedures are completed to expedite orders.

Data Entry Operator responsibilities include collecting and entering data in databases and maintaining accurate records of valuable company information.

Our ideal candidate has essential excellent customer service skills (such as good communication and responsiveness) and data entry skills (like fast and accurate typing with an eye for detail and comfortable with computer programs). You will work directly with the Branch Manager and support various departments. Previous experience as a Data Entry Clerk, Sales support role or similar position will be considered an advantage.

*The ERP System we use is Epicor Eclipse. This will be the program this person utilizes primarily to complete responsibilities of the position*

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain Customer Calling & PO Expedite Queues
  • Insert customer, product, and account data by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents within time limits
  • Communicate with customers with relation to order status and other ‘end of order cycle’ information
  • Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output
  • Research and obtain further information for incomplete queue items
  • Apply data program techniques and procedures
  • Communicate discrepancies in queues to appropriate management as applicable
  • Keep information confidential
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies

Requirements

  • Proven data entry work experience, as a Data Entry Operator or Office Clerk
  • Familiarity with administrative duties
  • Strong data entry skills and computer proficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable learning new computer programs
  • Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
