S10 Social Media Specialist

Reports To: Director
– Communications

*This position on located on Long Island*

BA in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field Minimum 3 years professional social media experience required

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Social Media Coordination Develop and implement Teacher Federal Credit Union social media strategy.

Create, edit and publish all social media communications aligned with mission, vision/values and brand
– voice and tone.

Collaborate with agency partners on asset creation and ideation for organic and premium posts, as well as on strategy for paid social media campaigns.

Knowledge of Facebook Ads.

Manager to boost organic posts on Facebook and Instagram.

Identify opportunities to work with influencers and integrate them into broader strategy.

Track and analyze performance of content across channels and leverage insights to create and execute monthly content calendar that aligns with business unit priorities and goals.

Identify unique opportunities for Teachers to further financial education and engagement on social platforms.

Provide analysis and recommendation for improvement around all social engagement and branded content.

Monitor and leverage best practices and industry trends around social platform updates like changes in algorithms, targeting and overall innovations in social media technology.

Community Management Assist with creation of communications that will be leveraged internally and externally for the organization.

Day-to-day community management activities including daily social media moderation, response, engagement, giveaway facilitation, and escalation of potential issues.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Knowledge & Skills
Professional experience using social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest and TikTok.

Experience using Salesforce Social Studio a plus.

Community Management experience for a large brand or demonstrable experience building personal online personas with strong engagement.

Excellent writing skills and ability to write in a variety of styles including customer service/care.

Self-starter who can balance multiple priorities simultaneously.

Strong collaborator with ability to engage multiple stakeholders.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint also required.

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
