SENIOR SERVER/DESKTOP SUPPORT SPECIALIST

SITE IS IN MANHATTAN, NEW YORK, N.Y. STATEMENT OF WORK AND RESPONSIBILITIES SCOPE OF WORK IT Support Specialist resource is responsible for ensuring the maximum possible service availability and performance for Clientrsquos IT Desktop and Server environment. The Vendor technical resource is responsible for senior engineering support of the purchasers IT Assets TECHNICAL RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITIES Takeover and delivery of their Steady State support Server Support – Move their Windows server workload entirely to the Azure cloud Desktop Support – Train users on M365, Team, Azure Cloud One-Drive– files to be moved into One-Drive as part of their business process. Advising staff on appropriate procedures for directing their IT-related queries and recommendations Receiving and documenting requests for support. Updating computer operating systems and other important software, as needed. Substantiating requests for hardware and software purchases and upgrades, if appropriate. Bring up-to-date and preserve computer inventory, surplus equipment and follow Asset Management processes. Sustain and fix issues on LANWAN, VoIP telephone, Video systems and other computing equipment andor engage Level 23 support teams and coordinate. Make sure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with various systems. Preserve passwords, data integrity and file system security for the computing environment. Install, setup and support VPN access for all remote users. Support for technical upgrading and maintaining of entire desktop systems. Assist in testing and deployment of new applications and systems. Maintain an excellent level of customer service, ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently. Resolve issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent solutions. Accurately record, update, and document requests using the IT service desk system and any other duties as assigned by the company. If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors. Perform software patch management, Antivirus Management, and desktop security support. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES Provide onboarding and knowledge transfer for the resource to perform their duties. Provide access to technical resources and Management oversight as required, to support maintenance and operation duties. Hands on installation of network hardware and software as required
