Thew Associates has been providing professional surveying services since 1972. As a result of our commitment to quality and service, Thew Associates is among the most respected surveying firms practicing in New York State.We are seeking a highly motivated Subsurface Utility Project Manager, at our Canton, Marcy, or Syracuse, New York locations, to manage and execute ASCE QL-B and QL-A subsurface utility investigations, CCTV inspections of sanitary, storm water, and potable water infrastructure, and manhole scanning and smoke testing of sanitary and storm water infrastructure.Successful candidates must be highly motivated with the ability to work independently, have a working knowledge of surveying and mapping, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Radio Frequency (RF) and vacuum excavation technologies, and the ability to manage and execute assigned projects to include coordinating field work, performing survey calculations, preparing mapping, client communication, proposal preparation, and new business development. The following education, experience, and skills are preferred:Preferred A.A.S. in Surveying Technology or B.S. in Surveying EngineeringMinimum of five years’ experience performing and/or coordinating subsurface utility investigationsExperience underground utility locating equipment to include GPR and RFStrong technical skill set, including AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft OfficeMust demonstrate versatility and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong oral and written communication and interpersonal skillsThew Associates offers a professional working atmosphere with the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across multiple market sectors, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefit offerings including health insurance, employer 401(k) contribution, benefit time, and professional development.
