Outpatient Clinician

Mountainside Treatment Center

This is a Full-time position in Chappaqua, NY posted December 11, 2020.

About the Position: In the Outpatient Department the Clinician is responsible for collaborating with a multi-disciplinary treatment team to create an individualized recovery experience that incorporates the body, mind and spirit of each client.

Provide individual and group therapy sessions and facilitate treatment groups.

Coordinate care with external providers and community resources.

Schedule: Monday 1:00pm-9:30pm, Tuesday 1:00pm-9:30pm, Wednesday 11:00am-7:30pm, Thursday 1:00pm-9:30pm, Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.

Your Role: * Review treatment prescreens records and assess appropriate level of care.* Reviewing client’s discharge records from previous treatment providers.* Complete monitored urinalysis of clients, ensuring accuracy in documentation and processing of specimen.* Understands group dynamics/processes, facilitates groups with a focus on integrated care and documents efforts via individualized progress notes.* Collaborate with family members, former providers and referral sources* Complete comprehensive clinical utilization reviews/authorizations for services on a regular basis and communicate all Insurance needs to Utilization Review Department.* Create a comprehensive and collaborative treatment plan, including referrals to Family Wellness Program, Psychiatric Services, etc.

Utilize identified screening/assessment tools, stage-wise interventions and treatment models.

Create a plan which considers the housing and therapeutic needs of the client to sustain or continue to develop a program of recovery.* Conduct therapeutic treatment utilizing best practices of counseling, case management and crisis intervention.* Complete discharge planning form with client and supervisor sign off prior to client discharging.

Ensure client receives a copy of form.

Complete all other discharge documentation in a timely manner (as set forth by Mountainside): discharge note, discharge demographics, discharge summary.* Maintain clinical chart via electronic medical records in accordance with agency and accreditation standards.* Complete comprehensive clinical utilization reviews on a regular basis and communicate all Insurance needs to Utilization Review Department.* Role model, explain and encourage pro-social behaviors such as: 12-step meeting etiquette, time management, appropriate language, dress and the importance of building fellowships.* Collaborate with Mountainside team.* Participate in individual and group clinical supervision.* Attend training to improve clinical skills or as assigned by your supervisor.* Comply with all federal, state and accreditation regulatory requirements.* Comply with all OASAS reporting and training guidelines in a timely manner Qualifications: * Graduate Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Marriage/Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology or related field required* Licensed eligible as: LMHC, LCSW, LMFT in the state of NY, required* CASAC Preferred* Experience/knowledge in substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders integrated treatment preferred* Graduation from a CACREP accredited Program or NASW Social Work accredited program preferred* Previous experience working in an Outpatient setting preferred.
